Located in warm climates, Flamingo Cricket Club campuses are a second home for professional cricketers
By having several Flamingo Cricket Club campuses around the world, we can always provide talented cricketers with an easily accessible second home for their cricket development. Our campuses will be the perfect venue for players aiming to reach the next level, as well as players looking for refuge between opportunities.
Our first site will be located in rural Portugal, within one hour of Lisbon.
We believe cricket's greatest opportunities for growth are in countries that don’t have Full ICC membership. This is why we’ll only consider developing our cricket campuses in Associate Member nations that meet our criteria.
Campuses at harmony with nature
Each Flamingo Cricket Club campus will have a distinct identity, thoughtfully crafted to offer an authentic experience. Our dwellings and facilities will be seamlessly integrated into the natural landscape, drawing inspiration from the surrounding environment and local history. We’ll leave no stone unturned when it comes to the design and cultivation of each campus, ensuring that they are functional yet beautiful, vibrant and enriching spaces for everyone involved.
Every Flamingo Cricket Club campus will be developed with a strict set of criteria in mind
Our sites will occupy between 20 and 30 hectares of land, purposely providing more space than we need for our recreation and facilities. This breathing space creates room for nature to thrive. Regenerative efforts like rewilding and reforestation will ensure that our sites enhance biodiversity, and always give more to nature than they take.
With improved soils we’ll establish ways for the land to be productive and profitable. We’ll grow fruit, nuts and medicinal plants. We’ll also sell surplus power generated from our solar panels.
At the heart of our sites will be two international standard cricket fields. Cricket practice will be accommodated with sixteen grass wicket net lanes, and two supersize cricket nets for range hitting. Four artificial wicket net lanes with floodlighting and retractable roof will also be available.
On the periphery of the site an open-air fitness pavilion will cater for athletes strength and conditioning needs. Athletes can also mix up their routines with bicycle hire and courts for padel, pickleball, and beach volleyball.
No cricket ground is complete without a clubhouse! Our social hub is a 4000 square foot barn-style clubhouse. With a bar, restaurant, and games room all under one roof, there will be plenty of unique spaces for teams to come together and relax after a long day of training or competition.
The clubhouse site will be surrounded by 8000 square feet of open garden terrace space, providing a beautiful outdoor area for guests to enjoy.
Events can be accommodated up to 400 people. Glamping options will enable us to scale up overnights stays as required.
To stay connected with interests outside of sport our guests will have access to coworking space and a podcast studio.
